Sources and changing information
Stories identify the official sources used for visitor rules, trail access, road status, permits, and other details that can change. We favor information from park agencies, public authorities, cultural institutions, and the places responsible for the service described.
Opening hours, closures, ticket rules, and transport schedules may change after publication. Dates on a story show when its editorial content was published and last revised. A linked live notice is the source to check before travel.
Accuracy and corrections
We distinguish reported facts from advice and observation. We do not invent quotations, statistics, local consensus, or experiences. When we find a factual error, we correct the affected passage and update the revision date.
For visitor safety, current official notices take precedence over an older article on this site.
Images and captions
Photographs have a caption beneath the image with the photographer, original source and license. The image credits page lists the photographs currently used on the site and explains any resizing or cropping. No AI-generated illustrations are currently used in articles, place pages or photo essays.
