Jesus Church in Zielona Góra: stained glass and a small nave

A reason to pause here

The open doors in our June photographs lead to a small, warm-coloured interior. We would fit a look inside around the congregation’s service times and notice the stained glass from outside as well.

Built by the Lutheran congregation

The church was built in 1909–1911 for Zielona Góra’s Old Lutheran community, funded by contributions from its members. Its heritage listing records the building as the former Old Lutheran church and present Evangelical Jesus Church. It remains a place of worship rather than a museum.

From the window surrounds to the nave

We would begin with the tall windows and pale stone arches outside. The June photographs then take us through the timber doors to pews and a coloured ceiling. Look at the congregation’s notice board before trying to follow the same route indoors.

Plan the visit

Use the Lutheran church’s information for services and contact details. An open door in a photograph is not a promise of all-day visitor access. Ask before photographing worshippers and wait until a service has finished if you want to look around.
