A reason to pause here

The grass runway and windsock make us look across a much wider space than a town square. The photographs also show picnic seating and a sports court beside the airfield grounds.

An aeroclub operating since 1957

Aeroklub Ziemi Lubuskiej was established at Przylep in 1957. Its own history describes flying training and recreational activity at the field, which remains its base. That helps explain why these photographs include a hangar and open grass as well as places to sit.

The club describes the grounds within the wooded slopes of the Oder valley and the Wał Zielonogórski hills. We like that setting for the wide view it gives, while remembering that the grass has an operational use.

Watch from the visitor side

We would begin by asking where visitors may stand. From an authorised position, the windsock, hangar and aircraft activity can give a short outing plenty to look at. Our collection also includes picnic seating and a sports court around the wider grounds.

If an event or introductory flight interests you, arrange it with the aeroclub beforehand. A photograph beside an aircraft does not establish that aircraft access is part of an ordinary visit.

Contact Aeroklub Ziemi Lubuskiej for current visiting, event and recreation arrangements. This is an active airfield, so keep clear of runways, taxiing areas and hangars unless staff expressly authorise access. Check any café, lodging or sports booking separately; the club’s description of facilities does not make them unrestricted visitor space.
