A reason to pause here
The red doorway and carved stonework make us want to stand closer to Bojadła Palace. Our collection also takes a wider walk through the surrounding landscape, but we would begin at the façade and learn what has happened to the house.
Rebuilding after fire
The Kottwitz family developed the residence in the eighteenth century. After the earlier palace burned, David Heinrich von Kottwitz rebuilt it in 1734–1735. The estate’s formal garden was arranged with the residence, using an axis and water features.
The property later passed to the Scheffer family. After 1945 it served several institutional uses, including health and educational functions. Municipal history records private conservation work from 2014; the present condition and access depend on that continuing work.
Begin at the carved entrance
We would start with the red doorway and its stone surround before stepping back for the façade. The wider landscape photographs add a walk around the setting, but not proof of a public interior route. Look at the building from permitted areas and give repairs their space.
Plan the visit
Check current owner or municipal visitor information for tours and events. Do not enter work areas, climb damaged structures or assume an open gate gives access to rooms. Park and palace arrangements may differ.
