Dąbie’s lakeside recreation ground: pine shade beside the sand

A reason to pause here

The pine trees beside the sand catch our eye at Dąbie. These summer photographs suggest a lakeside break, but we would check the site’s current opening and swimming arrangements before packing for a beach day.

A recreation site on Lake Wielkie

The official bathing register places the Dąbie holiday complex on Lake Wielkie, within the Rynna Pławska protected landscape area. Its sandy shore and pine setting are the context for our photographs. This is Dąbie in Lubusz, not the similarly named bathing site in Szczecin.

Choose the shore before the water

We would first find a place among the pines and look over the sand. The photographs suggest a summer break, but do not establish which facilities are open today. A short lakeside walk can be worthwhile even when the bathing season has finished.

Plan the visit

Check the official register for the current season, water assessment and operator information. Confirm opening, admission and facilities before travelling specifically for swimming. Stay within permitted bathing areas and supervise children by the shore.
