A reason to pause here
The tactile model makes us stop to read the town’s shape before continuing across the square. The curved planting beds give this little space a different rhythm from the straight streets nearby.
A square named in 2014
The square has carried Jacek Woźniakowski’s name since 2014. He was an art historian and writer, worked in publishing at Znak and served as Kraków’s president in 1990–1991.
The public space now includes planting and the tactile model shown in our gallery. Its naming belongs to recent civic history, alongside the much older streets around it.
Read the shape of the city
We would pause at the tactile model before continuing on foot. The curved planting beds give the small space a different shape from the straight lanes nearby. Leave the model available to people using it by touch, and look at its labels before assuming which buildings it represents.
Plan the visit
Use the square as a short public-space stop on a central Kraków walk. Keep paths and the approach to the model clear. There is no separate exhibition ticket for the outdoor stop. For a longer route, use a current city map to connect it with your next museum or street walk.
