The passage into Hamsa’s courtyard is what catches our eye in this collection. We would plan it as a possible break around Szeroka, with a look at today’s menu and opening hours before turning the photographs into a lunch plan.
A restaurant in the present-day quarter
Hamsa is a contemporary restaurant at Szeroka 2. Its operator describes Israeli food and provides current booking details. The restaurant’s role in today’s Kazimierz is separate from the older synagogue and cemetery history around it; the photographs alone do not date the courtyard buildings.
Look through the passage
We would consider this courtyard as a pause during a Szeroka walk. The entrance and outdoor setting in the gallery give us a location to recognise, while the menu helps decide whether it suits the meal we want. We have not documented a tasting in these photographs.
Plan the visit
Check the operator’s current menu, opening and reservations. Ask about allergens, dietary needs and whether a courtyard table is available. Do not assume an Israeli menu means the restaurant has kosher certification; confirm any requirement directly.
