A former prayer house with a cultural use
The centre occupies the former Bne Emuna prayer house. The city records renovation and adaptation in 1988–1993 for the Judaica Foundation’s Jewish Culture Centre. This is a different institution from the Jewish Community Centre behind Tempel Synagogue.
