A reason to pause here
In these February photographs, Lake Niesłysz is a place for watching ducks and following the shoreline with our eyes. We like leaving room for that quieter kind of lake visit, with no swimming plan needed.
A lake in the Lubusz district
Niesłysz belongs to the lake district around Niesulice and Przełazy. Regional visitor information describes a shoreline with bays, wooded banks and recreation settlements. The winter views in our gallery document another use of the shore: a walk and time watching water birds, away from the summer beach season.
Watch from the bank
We would keep the birds in view without approaching them. The open water and distant shore make a good reason to stop, even when no swim is planned. For a longer outing, decide which village approach you want rather than expecting one continuous public path around the entire lake.
Plan the visit
Choose marked public approaches and respect private waterfronts. Stay off ice, whose appearance cannot establish that it is safe. For summer swimming at Niesulice, check the official bathing-water register for the current season, supervision and water assessment.
- Bring binoculars rather than feeding water birds.
