Our two Singer photographs follow the streets beside Plac Nowy. We would start with that position when planning a Kazimierz break, then check the venue’s current hours rather than assume the street view tells us what is happening inside.

Kraków’s municipal guide lists Singer at Estery 20 and describes the sewing-machine tables used outside in summer. The café belongs to the more recent life of Kazimierz, a district that began as a separate town founded in 1335 and later became part of Kraków.

Our two photographs document the frontage and its place beside Plac Nowy. They give us a street-level record, without establishing a founding date for the business or a review of its service.

Make room for the neighbourhood

A stop here can fit naturally between a walk along Józefa Street and a look around Plac Nowy. We like keeping a café break flexible: see whether the doors are open, look at the current menu and decide whether the setting suits the moment.

The square deserves a little time before moving on. Look back along the streets around its edges, where everyday errands and visitors share the same narrow pavements.
