A small walk can have a place in the trip
Some days we want a long mountain route; on others, a short walk with somewhere to pause is enough. Szklarka appeals to us for that second kind of outing. A waterfall gives the walk a clear destination, with time to stand and watch the water before turning back.
Karkonosze National Park lists the educational trail to the viewpoint as 375 metres one way, with 11 metres of elevation gain and a walking time of seven to twenty minutes. A viewing platform looks toward the falls. The park describes the route as adapted for visitors with disabilities, but surfaces and access can change. Check current information before travelling if you need step-free access.
Spend your time at the viewing area
We’d leave a little more time than the walking estimate suggests, so there is room to enjoy the falls once you arrive. Stay on the signed route and behind the barriers. The rocks are slippery and water levels rise after rain. If the platform is busy, wait for space; the streamside vegetation needs to be left undisturbed.
