The name is older than the restaurant

Wierzynek’s name refers to Mikołaj Wierzynek and the banquet associated with the gathering of rulers in Kraków in 1364. The city’s current account distinguishes that tradition from the restaurant still operating today, which was founded in 1945. The medieval story does not establish continuous restaurant service since the fourteenth century.
