Lake Sławskie: a walk between the beach and the park

A reason to pause here

The photographs return to both sandy shore and tree shade. We would choose a lakeside walk first, then decide whether the day and the supervised facilities suit time in the water.

A lake beside the old estate

Lake Sławskie covers about 854 hectares in the Lubusz region. The municipal visitor guide records the Czernica and Cienica as inflows and the Obrzyca as its outflow. Its long shoreline gives a day here several possible starting points; a photograph of one beach does not describe access around the whole lake.

Sława’s neighbouring park developed from an eighteenth-century orchard and ornamental garden belonging to the Barwitz von Fernemont estate. In 1854, landscape designer Carl Eduard Petzold brought those spaces together. Recent municipal improvements have repaired paths and lakeside infrastructure.

Follow the water into the shade

Our photographs move between the open water, grassy banks and sandy stretches. We like that change of pace: a broad view across the lake, then a closer look at the trees along its edge. Combine a shore walk with the town park instead of spending the whole outing on a single patch of beach.

Start with Sława’s current visitor guide to choose your access point and parking. Use a designated bathing area when swimming, and check the current season’s supervision and water-quality notices. A sandy bank in our photographs is not confirmation of a lifeguarded beach. Boat hire and accommodation need separate enquiries.
