Kiełpin’s manor park: shaded benches beside an altered estate

A reason to pause here

Kiełpin’s manor park makes us want to leave time for sitting as well as walking. The timber pavilion and shaded benches appear repeatedly in the photographs, offering several places to pause around the older trees.

The house and its later repairs

Rudolph von Kottwitz owned the estate when a masonry manor replaced an earlier wooden house in 1786–1787. Later owners included the Neumann family and Rudolph von Friedenthal. After the Second World War, a state farm managed the property and alterations removed exterior details.

The park was revitalised in 2018. Repairs in 2020–2021 restored the manor’s roof and façade details. The heritage institute records the house’s current residential use, so it should not be described as a museum open for tours.

Leave time to sit

We would follow the paths between older trees and pause at the timber pavilion. The repeated benches in our gallery make sitting part of the walk. View the manor from permitted public areas and leave residents their entrances and windows.

Plan the visit

Keep to public park paths and follow current access signs. Do not enter residential sections of the manor or estate yards. This Kiełpin is part of the Zielona Góra area; specify that location to avoid similarly named villages.
